Got Stress? Relieve it with My 3 Easy Tips

As a blogger, you tend to overwhelm yourself with to-do lists, commenting on other blogs, and researching your next post.  It can get stressful at times to say the least.  There are 3 things I do to relieve this stress.

  • LIE DOWN, INHALE AND EXHALE

This is so obvious, however, the majority of people do not take the time to “just breathe”.  Doing this automatically creates a relaxation response that your body needs.  Lay down on the floor or sofa, take one deep breath in and slowly let it out.  Do this a good 5 or 6 times and I promise you’ll feel much more relaxed.

  • LEAN BACK IN YOUR CHAIR WITH ARMS STRETCHED OUT TO THE SIDES

This will depend on your chair of course, but if possible, lean back as much as you can (like your arching your back), stretching the back muscles.  Throw your arms out to the side and just stay like that for a minute.  It’s especially effective if you incorporate the inhale, exhale method;)

  • GET UP AND TAKE A WALK

Super easy to do but, again, people are too lazy to walk or think they are too busy.  Just get up and walk around your house, office, or outside.  Clear your head and enjoy the moment.  This also helps circulation.  Maybe that’s why we have some bloggers that write some dumb stuff–cause they aren’t getting any circulation to their brain=))

Let me tell you something.  You only have 1 life to live.  Enjoy it! If you can’t take 5 minutes to walk around your house or go outside or take 1 minute to breathe in and out slowly, then your priorities are messed up.  Stress plays a major role in heart attacks, etc.  Take care of #1 so you can take care of the people you care about and enjoy your life.
