Monday Madness

Critiqued by Cowboytf | February 3, 2008 .

This is basically a shotgun post.  I’ve got a few things to talk about so I’ll just get right to it.

First, I have updated my “Advertise” page.  There are tons of options and they are all cheap!  And just in case you’ve missed it, I have finally made it into the TOP 100 over at 45n5 (#93 to be exact!)..woohoo!  Oops, am I allowed to say woohoo on a money making blog?  Okay, back to the advertising stuff.  You can purchase reviews, plugs, and more so be sure to check it out!

Second, I have been getting bombarded with emails (100-300 not including spam) lately, many of which ask me tons of questions from requesting a “mini” review to how to monetize better to designing headers & banners.  I am extremely flattered by this but it has come to the point where something needs to change.  In fact, if I had some blog led tail lights, they would be bright red from me stomping on the breaks!…lol.

I have decided to do 3 things.

  1. Setup a F&Q.  I’m hoping by doing this, I can redirect people to previous articles I’ve written that I feel may help their situation.  I will also be answering some of the more common questions that I receive on a daily basis.
  2. Coaching.  I never thought I would say that word but it’s something that needs to be put in place.  I am all about helping others but there comes a point that I just either have to say no, or set up some kind of schedule and distribute my time accordingly.  Yes there will be a rate sheet but it won’t be priced like I’ve seen other coaches.  Why?  Because most of you can’t afford it.  I needed a coach at one time but was unable to provide the funding.  I still wish I could have done it because I think I would have learned a great deal but so far I’m doing okay.  I really hope that people don’t take this as a selfish action but I run 5 blogs, manage 3 kids, the home, ranch life,  and my own passions.  I just don’t have time to do this full time without getting some sort of compensation.
  3. Creating ebooks.  I actually have been looking into this already but think it’s time to step it up.  The ebooks will cover an array of topics including: affiliate programs, how-to’s, monetization, & more.  I think this will really help folks out and understand things much better.

Third, I have put up a new auction widget in my sidebar.  This plugin is called WP Auctionand is currently in beta mode.  I am very excited about it because it has various uses.  What I mean, is you could use it to sell just stuff, ebooks, advertising, or whatever your brain can come up with.  I am running an auction right now for the “how to” gift card offers.  Not only do I include the instructions that are found at this blog,  I also list the companies I deal with that I feel are trustworthy.  So if this interests you, then I hope you consider bidding.  Wondering about me as a seller?  Check out my ebay-feedback to help you feel more secure with me and my auctions.  You can also read more about what I have for sale at my personal blog.

Final thoughts:

I would love to hear your opinions on my ideas above, especially the F&Q, coaching, and ebooks.  I really hope that I haven’t or don’t offend anyone with these decisions but I have to do something.  Please don’t think I’m going to just stop answering questions.  Please send them in and I will do my best to get to them, it’s just that it may take longer than normal because of everything I have on my plate right now.  Well, I guess that’s it for now so lemme hear what you have to say!

Nice plan you have made…Anyway, you don’t have to feel guilty with coaching. We only have 2 hands, 10 fingers, 2 legs, 2 eyes, 1 lip and 24 hours a day. So, that’s way there is priority. I will not think it as selfish.
