I just came across this cool plugin that works wonders for anyone writing a series on their blog! I have implemented this on my Affiliate Marketing Series and it’s working great!
First, you need to download the In-Series plugin. Upload it to your plugins folder and activate. You don’t have to do anything once activated. It works right out of the box, however, you can tweak the code under options to make certain parts appear elsewhere on the post. For example: The Table of Contents appears at the beginning of the post by default.

I would prefer it be at the end of my post, so I just changed the code a bit. The code is given to you by the author himself at his blog along with many other tweak help and support.
If the series has a second part to it, the link to ‘previous’ or ‘next’ in series will show up at the bottom of the post like this:

POST DASHBOARD
From your post page, you will find the section to add to a series or create a new series in the right hand
side. If you don’t have a series created yet, it will say –Start New Series–. If you want to create one, just add the name of the series and check the start option. When you want to add to a series, you simply pick the series you want from the dropdown menu and leave the option ‘end’ checked. This will automatically make the post you are currently writing become next in the series.
It’s extremely easy to use. Even if you already have a series published, you can still go in and edit them and it will work perfectly. It’s a great way to keep your series organized and encourage your readers to visit the rest of the series!

Thanks for the mention; I’m always glad to hear how users get along with In Series. Be sure and drop by the In Series forums if you have any support questions, feature requests, or even to show and tell about how you use the plugin with your blog here.
Thanks again! :)

Yes Gyutae, this plugin would have been perfect! Sorry I was too late…darn it.
Nope, I didn’t do the new theme myself. I didn’t feel like it this time. I got a guy a the DP forums to do it for SUPER cheap! He did a bunch of banners for me and the header:) I love my new new little logo.
that looks like a great plugin.. especially since I’ve been thinking about a series or two.. this ought to take some of the work out of making sure the whole thing is interlinked.

Oh, I thought I’d sworn off new plugins for my blog, but this one sounds very nice. I’d struggled with a few series of posts before and trying to tie them together nicely…never was happy with the results, so it looks like I’ll kill some time playing with this plugin.

This will really come in handy on my design blog. I have a ton of series planned for it this summer and organizing them would be helpful to my readers.

I found this plugin very easy to use. It so easy that I thought I was using it wrong. I kept checking it to make sure it was working. It is a great plugin for writing series posts.
